About this Event

The Accelerated Phlebotomy Technician program prepares students to collect and process blood and other body fluid specimens while working alongside clinical laboratory staff and healthcare providers in hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities. This condensed, hands-on program covers essential skills such as infection control, venipuncture techniques, specimen handling, and professional patient interaction.


Courses Offered:

PHLT 1030 – Introduction to Venipuncture (3 credit hours)

PHLT 1055 – Accelerated Phlebotomy Clinical Practice (5 credit hours)


Notice: The prerequisite requirements for Healthcare have been waived!!


IMPORTANT:  You must be a currently enrolled high school student in grades 10, 11, or 12 for your application to be considered, and you must apply for Dual Enrollment by completing the Wiregrass Dual Enrollment application and the GA Futures Dual Enrollment funding Application using the links provided. Please be sure to check with your school counselor for any dual enrollment requirements, sessions, and deadlines.
